Brave Sir Robin
by Neill Innes
[Em] Bravely bold Sir Robin rode [D] forth from [Em] Camelot
[G] He was not afraid to die, [D] oh brave Sir [G] Robin
[G] He was not at all afraid to be [D] killed in nasty ways
[Em] Brave, [D] brave, [G] brave, brave Sir [D] Robin [B7]
[Em] He was not in the least bit scared to be [D] mashed into a [Em] pulp
[G] Or to have his eyes gouged out [D] and his elbows [G] broken
[G] To have his kneecaps split and his [D] body burned away
And his [Em] limbs all [D] hacked and [G] mangled, brave Sir [D] Robin [B7]
His [G] head smashed in, and his [D] heart cut out
And his [G] liver removed, and his [D] bowels unplugged
And his [G] nostrils raped, and his [D] bottom burned off
And his [G] penis ...
Robin: "Thats enough music for now lads, looks like there's dirty work afoot!
Three-headed Knight: "Halt, Who art thou?!"
Minstrels: "[Em] He is brave Sir Robin, Brave Sir Robin..."
Robin: "Shut up! ...Um, Nobody really, I was just passing through"
Three-headed Knight: "What do you want!?"
Minstrels: "To [G] fight [D] and ..!"
Robin: "Shut up! Um, nothing really just to pass through good Sir Knight"
Brave Sir [Em] Robin [D] ran [Em] away,
[Em] Bravely [B7] ran [Em] away, away
When [G] danger reared its [D] ugly head,
he [Em] bravely turned his [B7] tail and fled
Yes, [G] brave Sir Robin [D] turned about
and [Em] gallantly, he [B7] chickened out
[Em] Bravely [D] taking [Em] to his [D] feet
He [Em] beat a [D] very [Em] brave [D] retreat
[G] Bravest [Am] of the [D] brave, Sir [G] Robin [B7]
[G] Bravest [Am] of the [D] brave, Sir [G] Robin
[G] He was not afraid to die, [D] oh brave Sir [G] Robin
